To patch your Yahoo Messenger with Y!Multi Messenger, just follow the simple steps below:
- To Go Multi user…
- yahoo_multiuser.reg file. (Tip: Right Click on link, select “save as”…)
- Double Click on above file once it is downloaded.
- Window may show warning. Click Yes to proceed.
- Thats it! Now every click on Yahoo messengers shortcut will start new instance of IM!
- To Restore single user…
I don’t find any harm leaving it multiuser. Still in case you want to restore changes made by above registry file…
- yahoo_singleuser.reg file. (Tip: Right Click on link, select “save as”…)
- Double Click on above file once it is downloaded.
- Window may show warning. Click Yes to proceed.
- Thats it! Everything is restored again!
- Open Notepad
- Copy & Paste the following code.

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\yahoo\pager\Test]
"Plural"=dword:00000001
- save it as multi.reg
- either double click on this file or right click on it and select merge option. (This is to merge this settings into registry)
- Click Start Button.
- then click Run Command,type regedit.
- Hit Enter Button.
- A pop-out window will open.
- Now browse here
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Yahoo\pager\Test
- At the right side right click and create a new d-word and name it as plural
- After creating plural double click on it and give a value of 1
- Check the decimal box.Now close the regedit.
